Terms & Conditions
We adhere strictly to the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act 1998.
We collect personal information about you, such as your name, address, phone number and e-mail address in order to process your order. We do not release personal information to other traders or third parties, except to process your order or if your consent is given.
We reserve the right to send you an occassional email or text message for marketing reasons. Once again we do not pass on any information to 3rd parties.
Conditions of Use
These terms and conditions regulate the business relationship between you and us. By using Life is Sweet in any way, or by buying from us, you agree to be bound by them.
We may change these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to you are those posted here on Life is Sweet on the day you order Goods. “Goods” refers to any goods we offer for sale on Our Web Site. “Our Web Site” “we” “us” means The Bird Shed. “Price” means the price of the Goods plus any delivery charge. “Order” means any order made by you for the supply of Goods by us. “You and yours” means the person who buys or agrees to buy Goods from us.
All information given by The Bird Shed is current at the time it was posted but may be subject to change, without notice.
Goods advertised are subject to availability.
We try hard to represent the true colours on your computer screens, however this is not always possible and large variations can occur.
All descriptions, weights and sizes of Goods are those of the original manufacturers and you may not rely on their accuracy. Accordingly, any such description shall not form part of this agreement.
Return of Goods and Refunds
A binding contract is formed only when you receive confirmation from us that your order has been accepted. This will be confirmed by e-mail usually within 24 hours of receipt of your order (if placed during normal working hours Mon – Fri 9am – 4pm). You may cancel your order only up to this point.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Any faulty Goods must be brought to our attention immediately upon discovery and in any event a valid claim based on any defect in quality or condition must be made within 7 days from the date of delivery of the goods. Any claim for items missing from your order must be made within 3 days of the delivery date.
You may not reject the goods where the alleged defect or breach of contract is so slight that it would be unreasonable for you to do so.
In any claim against us our liability is limited to the value of the goods you have purchased in the contract, which is the subject of the dispute.
In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or any contract between you and us, then you agree to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with us in a process of mediation before commencing arbitration or litigation.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and only the English courts will decide any disputes.
We use Paypal authorisation system to ensure that all transactions using credit or debit cards are secure.
